Wrap up, and layer Wool up for Autumn/Winter
Wool increasingly is becoming the fibre of choice for winter once again as consumers hear of its amazing natural performance properties, properties no other fibre can achieve. Modern innovation in fabric manufacturing allows traditional tweeds and outerwear to be light, lofty and soft to touch providing the perfect cocooning pieces as we layer it up for winter. Together with refined tailoring and craftsmanship to produce impeccable pieces for casualwear or smart tailoring for every occasion whether it is soft Merino wool knitwear for next to skin wear and layering, smooth lightweight suitings, jackets and trousers or more rugged casuals and outerwear.

Here's why
Merino Wool naturally ‘breathes’, effectively regulating the wearer’s body temperature keeping them warm in winter and cool in summer.  Wool naturally absorbs moisture, and nullifies odour, resists static electricity and provides natural UV protection, and does not ignite so is safe to wear.  Merino Wool has a natural elasticity due to the fibre crimp (zig-zag) which helps garments resist creasing and retain their shape, and is less likely to pill (bobble) due to the longer fibre lengths.

Each Autumn/Winter Merino Wool is promoted globally under Merino Wool. No Finer Feeling™ and has collaborated with Richard James for a joint print and digital campaign.
The campaign is designed to highlight Merino Wool fabrics and garments produced by some of the world’s most prestigious manufacturers which demonstrate the craftsmanship and luxurious detailing, lightness, smoothness and softness that really needs to be seen, touched - and worn - to be believed.  The campaign seeks to raise awareness of wool’s natural performance properties and versatility across the seasons and product categories.
“A tailor is nothing without the cloth that he cuts and wool is simply the best that there is. It drapes beautifully and, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter, is always perfect to wear. As a Savile Row tailor with a duty and responsibility to produce the best tailoring in the world, the close relationship that I enjoy with Woolmark is essential to my work.” – Richard James
