What to Wear and Where

Clignancourt market in Paris is commonly known as Les Puces (The Fleas), but to call it a flea market is to do it a disservice.

Seven hectares of curios and collectables and restaurants like the ever endearing Chez Louisette, it is an experience nonpareil.

Were you visiting soon and wondering what to wear, we’ve put together a light and layered weather-watchful look that we think will work very well for the occasion.

Fireworks In Lithuania

Lithuania is the only place to be on September 24th for fireworks fanciers.

Now in its eighth year, the Vilnius Fejerija festival is known for putting on Europe’s premier pyrotechnic show, lighting up the sky over the ancient, altogether alluring Lithuanian capital with a coruscating cornucopia of kaleidoscopic colour.

Were you attending and wondering what to wear, Irene has put together a practical, adaptable look (and, as you can see, illustrated it) that we think will work very well for the occasion. A rust Harris tweed jacket, a 30-gauge Scottish-made cashmere polo, slim Japanese selvedge denim jeans…

What to Wear & Where – Can Carlos in Formentera

The party season is getting underway in Ibiza – fun and frolics of the first order from now until October.

If you’re visiting and feel you need a breather, we recommend a visit to the charming restaurant Can Carlos on the much smaller and correspondingly quieter neighbouring island of Formentera.

And if you were wondering what to wear, we’ve put together a perfect, coolly Mediterranean look of a bright turquoise whipcord jacket, a blue parrot pocket square, a pristine white mercerised cotton polo, a very summery pair of teal big jungle leaves trousers and a pair of super-soft off-white deerskin sneakers. No socks.

What To Wear And Where – Head Of The River Race

The bracing Head of the River boat race takes place on the Oxford vs. Cambridge course on the Thames, but in the opposite direction, from Mortlake to Putney.

Over 400 crews of eights compete, which makes it one of the biggest and impressive sporting events in London. Catch this year’s action on Saturday 19th March.

If you were wondering what to wear, we have put together a neat and very practical look which includes an English-made waterproof raincoat to keep off any rain and a blue and green birdseye knit and a blue summer jungle silk pocket square to give some enlivening, aquatic colour and contrast.
