Autumn Winter 2013 - 2014

Autumn Winter 2013 - 2014

"I feel inclined to blow my mind. Get hung up, feed the ducks with a bun. They all come out to groove about. Be nice and have fun in the sun. It’s all too beautiful. It’s all too beautiful. It’s all too beautiful. Ha! It’s all too beautiful"

Our Autumn/Winter ’13 collection is inspired by a unique and treasured fixture of London life that rings with colour and vitality.London’s parks are the place to promenade and find peace, for exhibitions and exhibitionism, exertion and easing off and encounters both innocent and illicit. Boating lakes and bandstands, sportsmen and snowmen, spies and secret lovers…This is a collection that resonates with a stunning, deep colour palate that seamlessly shifts with the seasons: autumnal burnt orange, toffee and camel, rich blackberry and sharp, wintery magenta, ink blue and teal, all anchored by base colours of clean, solid greys and softer, more fleeting beiges and camel.Envisage the piercing blues and greens of lakes against silver grey skies and the brilliant, dashing reds of bandsmen’s uniforms, rich purples of hedgerow fruit and deep gold of autumn leaves shining out from the dim winter light.Fabrics and suitings are rich and reassuringly soft and warming: Alpaca and camel, colour-flecked Donegal and Prince of Wales checks with exquisitely light, lifting overchecks.Unstructured, double-breasted outerwear and tailoring exudes a classic, clean-lined British sensibility but is designed with comfort and refinement in mind. Cashmere and Alpaca scarves add another layer of colour and contrast.Step into an intriguing, inimitable parallel world that teems with vivacity and self-expression.Itchycoo Park was the name given by children to Little Ilford Park in London E12 due to its proliferation of stinging nettles.
