Some Summer Wedding Suits
The summer wedding season is in full swing and we are pleased to say (and to see) that we have played our part, dressing grooms and guests alike with a diverse range of bespoke, made-to-measure and ready-to-wear suits. And it has just been suits this year; we haven't seen any separates, not for nuptials. And said suits really have been quite diverse: not so long chance was it was either a morning suit or a blue or grey lounge number, but nowadays weddings are less conformist and more about being yourself.
The factor that has dominated cloth selection (and cut, to a lesser degree) this season is, unsurprisingly, the heat, which reached 34 degrees for Kit and David's knot tying in Tuscany (below). A made-to-measure two-piece in an 8oz deep pink wool, silk and linen blend saw Kit safely through the day.

Indeed, wool, silk and linen has been a popular choice this summer. It's light and breathable and doesn't crease as easily as linen - it does still do to look spruce for the occasion. Jake (seen below with the correspondingly elegant Amalia) chose a made-to-measure double-breasted two-piece in a Huddersfield-milled light green wool, silk and linen for his big day.

James (below) was another customer who wanted to stay smart, opting for a nicely individual and highly crease-resistant 9.5oz high-twist lightweight wool in dark brown from Fox Brothers of Somerset.

Seersucker is another summer classic and that, in a ready-to-wear cotton tan stripe, was what Roger went for for his union with Charlotte, below.

And last but by no means least, we have David (pictured at the very top and below) who wore an immaculate made-to-measure 12oz grey-blue wool flannel suit for his stunning, still-a-little-chilly, spring wedding to Aida.

Do let us know if you have a wedding on the horizon, whatever your role will be. Bespoke, made-to-measure and ready-to-wear... We can help you look the part and play it to perfection.
